On May 16, 2018, OrneHaneul Law Firm signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toranomon Chuo Law Firm in Japan.
Established in 1983 by Representative Attorney Imai Kazuo and later renamed Toranomon Chuo in 1992, the boutique law firm is highly regarded in various business areas, including banking and finance, intellectual property, labor and employment, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law.
Toranomon Chuo Law Firm boasts a clientele that includes three of Japan's major banks—Mitsui Sumitomo Bank, Mizuho Bank—Japan's largest life insurance company, Nippon Life Insurance Company, Orix Group, which owns the Orix Buffaloes baseball team, Japan's largest e-commerce company Rakuten, Konami, one of the world's top five steel companies JFE, and Japan's second-largest telecommunications company KDDI, among others.
Before the MoU, OrneHaneul and Toranomon Chuo had already maintained ongoing business cooperation. The signing of the MoU serves as an opportunity to further enhance their partnership, ensuring that clients receive tailored, prompt, and accurate legal services related to Japanese law.
